A common problem with house construction in Lahore is a contractor bringing in a different, unfamiliar labour team for every job. We keep our own core group of masons, tile fitters, marble fitters and helpers who have worked with this company for years.
Our labour is supervised on site by Muzamal Malik and reviewed at key stages by engineer Tajamal Malik — work is not left unsupervised between visits from the owner or manager.
Some clients ask whether they should hire mistiris directly instead of through a company. Direct hiring can be cheaper on paper, but the client then carries the responsibility for coordinating trades, checking quality and resolving disputes on their own. Hiring our labour as part of a supervised contract means one company — ours — is accountable for the standard of work and for correcting mistakes at our cost, as agreed in the contract.
